Letter Books contain copies of outgoing correspondence from the Secretary in London to missionaries and others concerned with mission affairs.

Letters from the Secretary to Rev T G Ragland, Rev B Schmid, Capt C A Browne, the Bishop of Madras, Rev N J Moody, Rev and Mrs R Collins, Rev R H Vickers, Rev A B Valpy and Rev P S Royston. There are many letters re the Indian Mutiny, 1857-1858; correspondence with the Bishop of Madras; a list of artefacts to be sent to English Royal Children by the Christians in Tinnevelly, 1850; a circular letter to missionaries re the persecution of converts, 1855.
